Why “Creo Odyssey”?

“Creo” originates from the Latin creare, meaning “to create.”

“Odyssey” is a journey—long, exciting, and full of discovery.​​​

Together, Creo Odyssey represents a commitment to creative exploration—an ongoing journey of learning, experimentation, and personal growth through art.

Why was Creo Odyssey founded?

In a world where tutorials, videos, and books are readily available, learning creative skills has never been more accessible. However, something essential is often missing: meaningful interaction, shared experience, and the opportunity to grow through creative exchange.

Many art classes and events provide a structured and enjoyable introduction, particularly for beginners or those seeking a social activity. They often focus on producing a finished piece within a set format, offering a sense of accomplishment.

While valuable, this approach can be limiting. Working within predefined outcomes and fixed formats leaves little room for exploration, experimentation, or the development of an individual creative voice.

Our approach

Creo Odyssey was founded to offer something more.

We create an environment where creativity is not confined to a single outcome, but encouraged to develop over time. Our focus is on exploration rather than replication, and on learning through both guidance and shared experience.

Participants are supported to experiment with techniques, discover their own style, and learn not only from instruction, but from one another.

At its core, Creo Odyssey is about embracing the creative process—recognising that true development comes through curiosity, openness, and the freedom to explore.

About the Founder

Samya Harle is the founder of Creo Odyssey. With a BA degree in Interior Design, she previously owned and managed commercial interior design shops in Chichester and Arundel in West Sussex, specialising in innovative and client-focused design solutions. Also taught paint effects for walls and furniture.
